Whenever we look at our beautiful house on the Great Ocean Road we think how lucky we are. This was a very challenging project. We had a very difficult site with a very ambitious architectural design plus we were living three hours drive away in Melbourne. It was therefore very important to us that we had a builder that not only had a successful track-record with complex projects like ours but one whom we felt we could trust and work with effectively remotely.

The quality of their tradespeople was exceptional and their project management ensured that all work was delivered to a high quality, on time and on budget. In addition, we really appreciated their frequent communication with us, ranging from emailing images of the house as it developed, telephoning to discuss design and building choices, and meetings on-site. Finally, we found Spence’s own in-house joinery works to be a real plus providing invaluable design input and high quality fixtures that integrated very effectively into the overall building plans.

We really enjoyed working with the Spence team and couldn’t be happier with the end result.
